Our financial year ends on 31st March and I am delighted to say that many of you have already paid your membership fees by direct deposit into our bank account. You received your invoice one month before it was due on 1st April.
If you have not paid by the 1st April you remain a member, you are just classed as not financial. If you have not paid by 30th June then it is taken that you do not wish to renew your membership. We do have people who do not renew due to various circumstances; however, we always have applications for new memberships so the membership numbers are fairly constant.
On Sunday 3rd April 2016 the new program schedule commences. We have conducted an access card audit and ordered new or change of access passes. If you have trouble accessing the building at any time ring me on 0421 640 755.
You will probably have noticed that the breakout room has been refurbished. Thank you to all concerned. It is looking more like home.
On 23rd April 2GLF, together with Mounties, is holding a Rock n Roll Jukebox night. It will involve outside broadcasting, a band, dancing and general merriment. The event is the brain child of Rob Cutrie, so let’s get behind the evening and raise some money for the station whilst having a good time! This will be a great opportunity for socialising with other presenters. You can purchase tickets on line for a reasonable $20.
The station has often supported the Liverpool Relay for Life. This is a Cancer Council fundraiser where teams walk for 24 hours in order to raise money for cancer research. 2GLF will be present from 12 noon on Saturday 30th April, with some outside broadcasts running during the day, until 1am 1st May. It will be held at Hillier Oval, Hume Highway, Liverpool (Next to where we participate in the Australia Day Festivities). Most of us have been touched by cancer and the walkers love people to come down to cheer them on, walk the oval with them or even sit on the sidelines to contribute to the atmosphere. Hopefully, we will see you there.
As we have out going programs making way for some newcomers, we thank those presenters and wish them well for the future. We thank everyone for their contribution to programming 2015-2016.
Wishing you a Happy Easter
