Recently the Board invited expressions of interest from any member interested in filling one of three casual Director vacancies on the Board.
We received 4 applications and after speaking to each applicant, one ruled themselves out when they realized they could not attend meetings. The remaining three members were delighted to be able to join the board.
Please join with me in welcoming Dorothy Rook, Chris Sparrow and Steve Ventrella as Directors on the Board of the Co-operative, in a casual Director role until the Annual General Meeting is held in August.
The board also received notice from Bob Browne that he wished to step down from his involvement with the Programming team. In his brief time on Programming, Bob has made a positive contribution and will of course, continue to make a positive contribution toward 2GLF in the foreseeable future – just as he has done for so many years with us.
With Bob’s departure from programming plus the elevation of Chris Sparrow to the Board, 2 vacancies have arisen. One vacancy was offered to Robbie Georges, as he was the 4th person to express interest in joining the Board and given Robbie’s previous experience on the Programming team, it made good sense to offer one of the vacancies to him. Robbie was naturally, delighted to accept and we look forward to Robbie’s contribution.
This leaves us with a vacancy in Programming.
If you would like to join the Programming team, please express your interest in writing, to reach us by Friday March 11th. All expressions of interest are to be mailed to; The Secretary, PO BOX 531 Liverpool NSW 1871.
In your application, please outline why you want to be on the programming team and what, if any, experience you can offer. Programming meetings are held on average, one night a month at the station.
