The Lions Club of Wattle Grove Inc. est.2014 Proudly Presents ‘Bling it On 4 Charity’
The Wattle Grove Lions Club was established around April last year. They are committed into helping the local community.
“The Lions Club is all about helping the local community. Last year we organised a golf day and raised around $10 000 for the Local Support Group in autism” said the Secretary of the Wattle Grove Lions Club Carol Franshaw.
This one day Family Festival, while raising much needed funds for three Australian Charities aims to foster a greater community spirit and bring together local people and businesses for a day of Fun and Entertainment in the name of charity.
“There’s 3 charities, we’ve got the Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation, the Mark Grundy Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Group Inc (OCAGI) and the Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation” said Ms Franshaw.
“On the day we try to make it lots of fun. We have live entertainment all day. For the men we have a men’s shed, for the women we have the Pamper Pavilion and face painting and many more for the kids”.
Wattle Grove Lions will be gladly bringing this exciting event back to Liverpool in 2016. Every year Lions hope to be able to support three new Australian Charities and bring awareness and support those that need it.
