National Youth Week (NYW) is the largest celebration of young people in Australia. Thousands of young people aged 12-25 from across Australia are involved in NYW each year. This year NYW will be held from 10-19 April.
NYW team is hard at work coming up with ways to continue to make NYW the largest celebration of young people in Australia.
Caitlin Duggan is a Young Member from NSW. She got involved with NYW on a local level in 2009 and have loved every year.
“NYW is a way to influence the communities and get youth motivated to make change or be included” said Caitlin.
“Young people should get involved in NYW because it’s one of the easiest ways to make change. They can get involved by getting in contact with their local youth councils and seeing what other places are doing for inspiration”.
Each and every year, a group of brilliant Young Members are involved in the planning of NYW to ensure it’s a blockbuster week. 2015 is no exception.
Comprising of representatives from every Australian state and territory, including Indigenous and Australian Government representatives, Young Members are ready to win your hearts again with their commitment to making it the best NYW possible!
