Liverpool City Council and Fairfield City Council will host some family friendly events for the community over the Australia Day weekend.

Liverpool’s Events

Australia Day Celebrations
3-9pm, 26 January
Woodward Park, Liverpool

There will be plenty for families and children including rides ($2 a ticket), Australian Arena, a show by the adorable Lalaloopsy Girls and a selection of cultural performances featured throughout the festival program.
This event is sure to top previous year’s celebrations with Liverpool’s Australia Day 2014 attracting a crowd of 30,000 people so come along and join the fun.

Fairfield’s Events

Canley Heights Australia Day Eve
4–9pm Sunday, 25 January
Canley Heights Town Centre

The family will have a ball at the Canley Heights Australia Day Eve celebrations, featuring face painting, balloon animals, kids craft activities, sausage sizzle and free giveaways. The evening will close with a spectacular fireworks display.

Fairfield Leisure Centre free pool party
10am–3.30pm Monday, 26 January
Fairfield Leisure Centre, Vine Street Fairfield

The family will be able to take advantage of free pool entry. Get drenched by the tipping bucket, play in the playground waterslides or groove along to the DJ. There is something for everyone with a 50m, 25m and babies’ pools open for use. Children under the age of 16 years require supervision.

Prairiewood Leisure Centre free pool party
10am–3.30pm Monday, 26 January
Prairiewood Leisure Centre, Prairie Vale Road, Prairiewood

The family will be able to take advantage of free pool entry, a DJ and other activities and entertainment. Children under the age of 16 years require supervision by both centres.
