The final Liverpool Night Markets for the year on 6 December will be full of festive fun for the whole family – and will feature the annual Liverpool Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, which will take place in Macquarie Mall at 8pm.
Also at the markets will be Christmas carols performed by the Combined Churches of Liverpool choir and a very special visit by Santa! Plus, you can pick up some fantastic Christmas gifts at the market stalls, or create your own handmade gifts with The Clayhouse and Casula Powerhouse craft workshops.
Liverpool City Mayor Ned Mannoun said the December Night Markets are a chance to come together as a community, celebrate the festive season and enjoy our city by night.
“The Liverpool Night Markets continue to offer families a night of great entertainment and unique local experiences, and this will certainly be the case at the December Night Markets with the spectacular Christmas tree lighting, carols by the Combined Churches of Liverpool and the special visit from Santa.
“Our Christmas tree lighting is the best in the South West, and we have another spectacular tree ready to be lit on the night. I warmly encourage everyone in our community to come down from 4pm, enjoy an evening of entertainment in our great city, and get swept up in the festive spirit.”
Come along and experience Liverpoo’s food delights with Taste Food Trails. Running regularly throughout the night, the hour-long tours cost $5. Don’t forget to sign up on the night at the Taste stall.
There will be delicious food from Authentic Turkish Cuisine, Mamma’s Jerk Chicken, Yan’s Asian Caterer, Cucina 105 (gelato and locally roasted coffee), Parrilla Argenchino Catering, Gourmandise de Paris and many more.
A petting zoo, jumping castle and special story times at the pop-up library will be available for the whole family.
