Programming Update

admin Members Updates

The most important thing that 2GLF does is produce programs for our audience. They should be the best that we can produce.

This year the programming committee consists of:

Carol North-Samardzic (chair)
Angelina Rossi
Robbie Georges
Alex Shalalo
Chris Sparrow
Bill Phillips

The five committee members were elected at the Members/Presenters meeting on 20th October 2014 and will be advising the Board on programing matters including the program allocation next year.

We encourage you to continually revitalise your programs. The quality of programs that we put to air is the defining ingredient to attract and keep a wide audience.

We have two presenters meetings a year and it is important that all presenters attend so that everyone can understand how they fit into the overall picture of 2GLF.

If you are unable to do your show you should:

1) Find someone to fill in and notify the programming committee by e-mailing the Office that this is occurring.

2) If you cannot find a fill in contact the programming committee on the office email and they will help.

Please do not request an old program to be played from the logger as this leads to programs going to air that have old information and incorrect dates.

Every program should have a back-up program that is generic in nature and can be used in an emergency. Contact the committee if you are unable to record and help will be provided.

If the person after you does not attend and you put carts to air from the Simian machine please notify the Programming Committee on the office email. Our licence is for 24 hours seven days a week and we need to monitor absences.

At the last Members/Presenters Meeting a motion was passed that presenters should vacate the chair six minutes before the end of their show. This is because we now have more sound sources to set-up and there are modules to re-assign. Please abide by this requirement.

We look forward to working with you this year.
