Liverpool Leader reported that Peter Ristevski is Liverpool’s quietly determined new Deputy Mayor. He was elected to replace fellow Liberal Mazhar Hadid.
“It’s a great honour to be elected deputy mayor by my colleagues and I thank my fellow councillors for entrusting me with this important role,” Cr Ristevski said.
He is a director of BRW top-40 accounting firm Chan and Naylor, the company he co-founded as a 25 year old.
“I joined the (Liberal) Party about the same time as I started my business,” he said.
“But I’ve been interested in politics since my student days at UWS.”
“It’s an exciting time for the city as we move closer to building our new city and creating jobs, stimulating investment and making our city a great place to be.
“I’m proud to be able to make a valuable contribution to help Liverpool reach its potential.”
