The Liverpool Night Markets return on TODAY with a great range of food, stalls and entertainment – including a special performance by the Funky Love Squad dancers, who will bring disco back to Macquarie Street with their incredible stilt-dancing skills!

Following a large crowd at the July markets, attendance at the August Night Markets is expected to be strong, with a variety of new stall holders and family-friendly entertainment on offer. Highlights for August include:

  • Disco-inspired stilt dancing from the Funky Love Squad;
  • Local buskers performing popular tunes you’ll want to sing along to;
  • A chance to try your hand at still-life drawing, and ceramics with CPAC’s Clayhouse;
  • Beautiful floral arts and crafts from Khmer Women’s Group;
  • Story time and board games at the Liverpool Library’s pop-up branch
  • The markets are held on the first Saturday of every month in Macquarie Street from 4-9pm and are part of Liverpool City Council’s plans to boost the city’s night time economy and make Liverpool a more exciting place to live and work.
