Western Sydney to give Brisbane a ‘Roar’ reception

admin Wanderers

The Western Sydney Wanderers will be playing for more than just the three points on offer, when they host Brisbane Roar in Friday Night Football at Parramatta Stadium.

Brisbane are currently seven points clear on top of the A-League ladder, with the Wanderers keen to close the gap as we head into the latter part of the season.

The Wanderers have an excellent record against Brisbane, with their only loss coming in Brisbane earlier this season, and with several key players missing.

Coach Tony Popovic has almost a full roster of players to choose from, with key midfielder Jerome Polenz likely to return for the top of the table clash on Friday.

The Wanderers were unlucky to lose two points, with a 2-2 draw at Newcastle last weekend, and will be keen to maintain their excellent record at home against the competition leaders.

Brisbane have an excellent record in the A-League this season, but know they face a tough assignment in coming to meet an in form Wanderers outfit at home.

Can the home side take the points, or will Brisbane take another step towards securing the Premier’s Plate with victory over the Wanderers.
