This week is Stoke Awareness week.
A time when the public can reflect on the ways they can prevent stroke and deal with them after they occur.
However; there is a story that often goes untold, that of the stroke survivor and the carer.
Dr Tom Crow, whose wife survived a stroke wrote the Stroke Recovery Carers Handbook to share his experiences as a carer as well as his wife’s journey to recovery.
The book launched on Monday and I caught up with Dr Crow to discuss his inspiration for the book.
