The JulEye awareness month kicked off on Monday, July 1.
The month organised by the RANZCO eye foundation aims at raising awareness about eye diseases and stresses the importance of getting an eye check.
Eye degeneration conditions and diseases are common place in Australia with over 200,000 people in Australia suffering from it.
Jacinta Spurret, CEO of the RANZCO Eye Foundation, explained why they urge people to not lose sight of their eyes, as once you lose your sight you cannot get it back.
