Families Week was celebrated with a special community event in Liverpool at Macquarie Mall this week Wednesday, May 15. The event represented a number of organisations with stalls, balloons, flyers and even Cheeky the Clown. The 2GLF Street Team were there on the day to have a chat about what was going on and what the event was trying to achieve.
Serena Liotta, who works for Liverpool Family and Children’s Services Interagency and is just one a number of organisers of the day, said that the day went well. She also mentioned that families who attended showed keen interest in the support programs being developed.
Serena Liotta also said that that the location of the event was chosen because the area is very family friendly with many families out and about in that area.
“There was an excellent turn out by families,” Serena said.
“It is important that families find out more about services to help their children’s development”
Cheeky the Clown was also there on the day and said that she was having fun and was busy face painting many happy children.
