The 2GLF Street Team travelled back in time when they visited the Fairfield City Museum and Gallery on Wednesday, 24 April.
The Caught in Time exhibition and the 30 Objects for 30 Years exhibition held at Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, are bringing to life Fairfield’s vibrant history until Saturday, June 8.
Made up of timeless images, clothing and objects the exhibit captures the life and customs of Fairfield residents over decades.
Emma Shrapnel, social history and exhibition curator said that people were attracted to the exhibitions because they were amazed at the variety of historical items.
“It’s important to engage the community with the local history of the area,” she said.
“It also brings the community together and helps to keep the heritage alive”.
Go and see the exhibitions for yourself from April 6 to June 8 and visit the Fairfield City Museum and Gallery website. Listen to our interview with Emma Shrapnel below.
